Citizens warmly invite you to join us for a documentary and discussion evening on Wednesday 26th February, when we will continue the “Modernism vs. Conservatism” theme.
In the previous evening, we discussed political and artistic movements which in the early 20th century wanted to change society by combining political ideas with aesthetic ideals. How do similar movements look today? This evening we are looking deeper into the current, global feminist movement by looking at the story of Pussy Riot.
Pussy Riot reacted towards the increased conservatism that has been growing in Russia and their actions received massive attention from around the world. Are the ideals epitomised by Pussy Riot ones that might influence people universally or is it more difficult to create sustainable, wide-spread movements today? It is also a great opportunity to find out more about our organisation and the work we are doing as we will also provide information how to become a member and the projects we are currently developing. The event will be held in Citizens of Europe offices, Kiefholzstr. 2, 4th floor.
