The Assembly of Citizens comes to Berlin

In collaboration with Compagnie à Bulles, Citizens of Europe is happy to present “The Assembly of Citizens – from the Agora to the European Parliament”. Under the patronage of Mr. Martin Schulz- president of the European Parliament, the performance will be held on the 9th October at 18h in the Europäisches Haus and will be followed by a panel discussion.

The Performance
The Initiative
A piece of modern fiction liberally based on the tale of the “Town Musicians of Bremen” by the Brothers Grimm:

In the Schengen area, seven European citizens move freely, meet and share their stories. They do not speak the same language… Nevertheless, they decide to work together and create a “committee” in order to put forward a new European initiative. Their goal is to collect the one million necessary signatures to submit to the European Commission. Will they manage to get along and carry the project to the end?

The polyphony of their voices will echo our dreams, our questions and our hope for Europe.

The Discussion
Moderated by the dynamic Dutch-Parisian journalist Stefan de Vries, our distinguished and varied panel will form a melting pot of ideas to refresh your mind!
