Rasmus Randig, born and grown up in Wolfenbüttel near Braunschweig (Niedersachsen), just finished his A-levels in music and German, politics and economics. After this, he now intends to do a EVS in France at the Federation of the Houses of Youth and Culture of the region Picardie, with Citizens of Europe acting as sending organisation. In preparation of his EVS he did a two-week internship at the office of Citizens of Europe in Berlin at the end of May. For his future after the EVS he plans a professional career as something in between a pirate and a professor.”As it became clearer I would go as a European volunteer to France I naturally wanted to get to know my sending organisation Citizens of Europe. I was lucky to get the chance of doing a short-term internship at the office in Berlin after having finished my A-levels in April. My aim was to get practical insights into the work of a NGO with European dimensions. After two weeks I am happy to say I succeeded. In addition I could well experience the diversity of work at the office and the demand of multitasking and independent work. Through my internship I had been able for example to conduct an interview as future volunteer with the former volunteer at Citizens of Europe, Dorothée Moutiez.”
