The achievements of “Facilitators Are Coming Together”

This nine days training seminar took place in Berlin from the 10th to the 18th of September 2021. The course focused on following questions: Which are the values and the ethics in youth working? What are the fears and expectations regarding our role as facilitator? Or simply: how to always reflect and improve.

Those intense days were full of different activities and contents: intercultural communications, active listening and empathy, how to communicate in order to develop relationships, project management, problem solving, time management, how to give positive feedback and workshop design. After those sessions the participants had time to work on their own workshops to deliver to all the participants.

But this is just the first step of this project: after this space in Berlin the participants will have to deliver sessions with what they’ve learned in their home countries, and talking with them there’s already a big movement going on in their communities. Those results will also be discussed in the next event that is going to be in Beja, Portugal, in November.

It was nice to be there with many participants after a long time not-in-person training happening and this post is also to say thank you to all of the European folks who participated! A grateful mention goes also to Laris and Antonio, our amazing trainers!
