Francesca La Vigna is a political scientist from Rieti, Italy. Since September 2009, she was a volunteer in our Berlin office as a participant to the EU’s European Voluntary Service Programme. On September 26, she signed a contract with the board of Citizens of Europe as future administrator of the office and coordinator of EVS activities. “We are particularly happy that a person knowing our activities that well and having experienced Citizens of Europe as a volunteer herself will take over these responsibilities” says Frank Burgdörfer, the organisation’s chairman. On January 1st 2011, Francesca La Vigna will replace Gert Röhrborn, who has been coordinating the office since April 2008. After contributing significantly to the development of Citizens of Europe for almost 4 years, Gert plans to move to Warsaw and is looking for new challenges there.
